This unit is designed to always keep tension on the cable, helping to prevent dragging, snagging, trips, and falls. For ultimate durability, this lifeline has an impact-resistant thermoplastic housing. The compact, stackable housing is designed to stay out of the way, and it is lightweight for superior comfort. This unit has a swiveling steel carabiner to attach to anchorages without twisting. To attach to a harness, it uses a self-locking steel snap hook on the lifeline. For additional protection, this lifeline has a high-capacity external energy absorber to help limit the amount of force placed on the body during a fall. It also features an impact indicator to provide a clear visual cue that a lifeline has endured a fall and should be removed from service. This unit has been tested to meet OSHA and ANSI requirements.
